Adding Your Branding to the Winner Announcement

The moment you reveal a giveaway winner is usually the most-watched part of the whole campaign. People who entered come back to see if it was them. People who didn't enter see the result in their feed or in someone's story. And a lot of those people will only ever see a screenshot, cropped and reshared, with no caption attached.
That's the case for branding the result itself, not just the post around it. If the image of the draw is what gets passed around, your name should be on the image.
What "branding the result" actually means
In RaffleSelect, branding lets you put your own look on the winner reveal: your logo and your colours on the result screen and the result image. Instead of a generic picker screen, followers see something that clearly belongs to your giveaway. Branding is included on the Gold and Platinum plans, alongside the countdown animation.
It changes nothing about how the winner is chosen. After your filters run, every eligible entry still has an equal chance. Branding is purely about how the outcome looks when you show it.
Three reasons it's worth doing
1. Screenshots lose their context
A plain result screenshot says "someone won something." A branded one says "someone won something from you." When the winner posts it to their story, their friends see your brand without needing to read a caption.
2. It looks deliberate
Followers can tell the difference between a giveaway that was planned and one that was thrown together. A result that matches your profile, your packaging and your other posts signals that you take the giveaway seriously, which tends to make people take the result seriously too.
3. It's harder to imitate casually
Fake "you won" messages often borrow a brand's name and little else. When your followers are used to seeing your real winner reveal in a consistent style, an off-brand message stands out more. It's not a security feature, but consistency helps your audience notice when something doesn't look like you.
Getting the look right
Branding works best when it's restrained. The winner's name is the star; your brand is the frame.
- Use a clean logo file. A version with a transparent background usually sits better on the result than a logo inside a white box.
- Pick one or two colours. Your main brand colour plus a neutral is usually enough. Too many colours compete with the winner's name.
- Check contrast. Make sure the text on the result is easy to read on a phone, in bright light, at a glance.
- Stay consistent. Use the same setup for every giveaway so your audience starts to recognise "this is how they announce winners."
Pair it with the countdown
Since branding and the countdown come together on Gold and Platinum, it's worth using both. A short countdown before the reveal gives you a natural moment to screen-record, and the recording then ends on your branded result. That clip makes a good story or Reel: a few seconds of anticipation, then the name, framed in your colours.
If you record the draw, keep the screen tidy. Close other tabs, silence notifications and make sure nothing private is visible. The viewer should see the giveaway post, the filters you applied, the countdown and the result.
Don't forget the winner certificate
RaffleSelect can also produce a winner certificate: a shareable image of the result. It's useful in two places:
- Your own announcement post, as the main image or one slide in a carousel.
- The message you send the winner, so they have something to share themselves.
Many winners like posting proof that they won. Giving them a clean, branded image makes that easy and means your brand appears in their post exactly as you'd want it.
Where the rest of your branding goes
The result image is one piece. A complete, consistent winner announcement usually also includes:
- A caption in your usual voice, naming the winner by handle and thanking everyone who entered.
- A short recap of the rules you applied, for example "one entry per person, comments had to include our hashtag."
- What happens next: how the winner should claim, and how long they have.
- A pinned comment or story highlight so people who arrive late can still find the result.
When branding matters less
If you're a personal creator running an occasional giveaway for friends and regulars, the Free plan's plain result is perfectly fine. Branding earns its keep when giveaways are a regular part of your marketing, when you run them for a client, or when you expect the result to be shared well beyond your own followers.
A quick checklist before your next reveal
- Logo file uploaded and looking sharp
- Brand colours set and readable
- Countdown switched on if you're recording
- Screen cleaned up for recording
- Certificate saved, ready to post and send to the winner
- Caption drafted with the claim instructions
Your winner reveal is going to be seen either way. Making it look like yours is one of the simplest upgrades you can make. When you're ready, start your next giveaway on RaffleSelect, or compare what each plan includes on the pricing page.
