Free, Silver, Gold or Platinum: Which RaffleSelect Plan Fits Your Giveaways?

Four gift boxes of increasing size in a row

RaffleSelect has four plans: Free, Silver, Gold and Platinum. The right one depends less on how "serious" your business is and more on two practical questions: how many comments will your post get, and which features do your rules require? This guide walks through both.

The plans at a glance

PlanPrice per monthComments loadedDuplicate + hashtag filtersBonus entries + block listBranding + countdownMulti-network
Free$0Up to 600YesNoNoNo
Silver$5Up to 2,000YesYesNoNo
Gold$12Up to 5,000YesYesYesNo
Platinum$40UnlimitedYesYesYesYes

Yearly billing is twelve times the monthly price. All plans work with Instagram, Facebook, YouTube and TikTok, and on every plan, after your filters are applied, every eligible entry has an equal chance.

Question 1: How many comments will you have?

This is usually the deciding factor. Your plan sets how many comments can be loaded from a post. If your post has more comments than your plan covers, you'd be drawing from only part of them, which isn't fair to the people left out.

Look at your recent giveaways, or your most-commented posts, and be honest about the range:

  • A few hundred comments: Free covers you, up to 600.
  • Several hundred to a couple of thousand: Silver, up to 2,000.
  • A few thousand: Gold, up to 5,000.
  • More than that, or you can't predict it: Platinum has no limit.

Remember that the comment count includes everything on the post, not just valid entries: replies, chatter and repeat comments all count toward loading. Filters are applied after the comments are loaded.

Question 2: What do your rules require?

Your second check is features. Read through your giveaway rules and match each one to a setting:

Everyone gets these

The duplicate filter (one entry per person) and hashtag filter (only comments with your hashtag) are on every plan, including Free. You can also choose the number of winners and pick substitutes. For many simple giveaways, that's all you need.

Silver adds control over who's in the draw

The block list lets you exclude named accounts, such as staff, family, co-hosts or your own account. Bonus entries give named accounts extra chances, for example customers or subscribers, if your rules announce it. If your rules say "employees can't enter," Silver is the practical minimum.

Gold adds presentation

Branding puts your look on the result, and the countdown adds an animation before the winner is revealed. These are about how the draw looks when you share it, which matters if you record or stream your draws.

Platinum adds multi-network draws

If you post the same giveaway on several platforms or several posts, for example an Instagram post, a Facebook post and a TikTok video, multi-network lets you combine all the entries into one draw. Platinum also removes the comment limit.

Some typical setups

  • A local café's monthly Instagram giveaway with a few hundred comments and a "one entry per person" rule: Free.
  • A shop that excludes staff and gives newsletter subscribers a bonus entry: Silver, assuming comments stay under 2,000.
  • A YouTuber who films the draw and wants a countdown and branded result: Gold.
  • A brand running one giveaway across Instagram, Facebook, YouTube and TikTok: Platinum.

What stays the same on every plan

It's worth being clear about what you don't pay extra for. The way the winner is picked is the same on Free as on Platinum: once your filters are applied, every eligible entry has an equal chance. Upgrading doesn't make a draw more random or more fair; it gives you room for more comments and more tools for applying your rules. You can also save a winner certificate, a shareable image of the result, to post with your announcement. And the Flip a Coin and Roll Dice games on the site are there for quick tie-breakers whatever plan you're on.

Monthly or yearly?

If you run giveaways occasionally, a monthly plan for the month you need it can make sense. If you run them regularly, yearly billing keeps things simple, at twelve times the monthly price. Questions about invoices or cancelling are covered on the support page.

A simple way to decide

  1. Estimate your comment count and find the smallest plan that covers it.
  2. Check your rules: do you need a block list or bonus entries? If so, at least Silver.
  3. Will you share the draw on video and want a countdown or branding? At least Gold.
  4. Combining posts or platforms? Platinum.

Take the highest plan any of those steps points to. If in doubt, start with Free for a small giveaway and see how it goes.
